November 2, 2007, Newsletter Issue #136: Is Your Chicken Done?

Tip of the Week

A meat thermometer is the safest. A whole or bone-in chicken should reach an internal temperature of 180 degress. A boneless chicken should be cooked to 165 degrees.

If you donīt have a meat thermometer:

A fork or toothpick can be inserted with ease.
The juices should be clear, not pink.
Bone joints move easily.
