Southwest Stew

2 pounds beef stew meat
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup oil
2 tsp chili powder
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 (10-1/2 ounce) can beef broth
3/4 cup water
1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chiles
2 cups frozen cut corn

Mix flour and chili powder in a plastic bag. Add stew meat and shake well to coat.

Brown the meat in hot oil and add onion and garlic. Saute over medium heat until onions are soft but not browned.

Place heated mixture into crock pot and add cumin, broth, water, tomatoes, and corn. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
