Fettucine Alfredo

1 cup heavy cream, divided
3 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 pound Fettucine
2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
dash of freshly ground pepper
dash of nutmeg

Mix 2/3 cup cream and butter in a large pot and simmer over medium heat until butter has melted.

Cook fettucine according to package directions. Drain well, and then transfer to the pan with butter and cream. Turn heat to low and toss the fettuccine, coating with sauce. Add the rest of cream, all of the grated cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Toss briefly until the cream has thickened. Serve immediately.
